About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Oklo’s FERC, State PUC, and interconnection-related legal work
Represent the company in regulatory proceedings
Support interconnection agreements and processes
Monitor and engage in regulatory rulemaking
Collaborate with government affairs on legislative initiatives
Support pre-construction regulatory and zoning efforts, including environmental reviews and local permitting
Coordinate with Oklo’s nuclear regulatory team while focusing on non-nuclear energy regulatory matters
Help shape regulatory strategy for Oklo’s advanced fission power plants

Requirements

What you’ll need

7–10 years of energy regulatory experience
Substantive FERC practice experience
Experience with State Public Utility Commission filings
Experience with generator interconnection processes
Experience in energy-related public policy
Experience in legislative affairs
Cross-functional collaboration experience
Detail-oriented and agile attorney
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Ability and motivation to tackle complex regulatory challenges
