About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Oklo’s FERC, State PUC, and interconnection-related legal work
- Represent the company in regulatory proceedings
- Support interconnection agreements and processes
- Monitor and engage in regulatory rulemaking
- Collaborate with government affairs on legislative initiatives
- Support pre-construction regulatory and zoning efforts, including environmental reviews and local permitting
- Coordinate with Oklo’s nuclear regulatory team while focusing on non-nuclear energy regulatory matters
- Help shape regulatory strategy for Oklo’s advanced fission power plants
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7–10 years of energy regulatory experience
- Substantive FERC practice experience
- Experience with State Public Utility Commission filings
- Experience with generator interconnection processes
- Experience in energy-related public policy
- Experience in legislative affairs
- Cross-functional collaboration experience
- Detail-oriented and agile attorney
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Ability and motivation to tackle complex regulatory challenges
