About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with the Project Manager to budget, manage, and forecast subcontractor labor, equipment, materials, small tools, consumables, and general conditions
  • Read and interpret specifications and plans to determine requirements and planning procedures
  • Supervise, order, and coordinate labor, subcontractor, and delivery activities
  • Maintain quality control through frequent and regular inspection of work in progress
  • Complete all reports and records accurately and timely
  • Ensure adherence to company safety and insurance policies, protocols, and OSHA compliance
  • Analyze subcontractor and production problems
  • Conduct and participate in safety and subcontractor progress meetings
  • Maintain responsibility for the worksite whenever work or testing is being performed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of construction Superintendent experience with projects ranging from $1M to $50M
  • 10 years of experience in the construction trades, or a combination of equivalent training and experience
  • Working knowledge of field construction systems, practices, general engineering principles, construction techniques, materials, methods, and sequencing
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to fulfilling obligations
  • Passion for client satisfaction
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, multitasking, communication, and conflict-management skills
  • Computer knowledge including email, daily reports, construction look-ahead schedules, iPad, and Procore
  • 30-hour OSHA certification training is required
  • Ability to regularly use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Ability to communicate with others on the jobsite and through phone/computer communications
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in changing worksite conditions, including wet or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, electrical-shock risks, extreme heat or cold, and moderate to loud noise levels
