Engineering Manager

• Take overall responsibility for the technical development and delivery of products used by over 16,000 UK schools
• Ensure engineering team have the right talent, capabilities and context to build, deliver and maintain products
• Lead and be accountable for all elements of engineering including development, devops, documentation, performance, testing and 3rd line support
• Identify and prevent issues before they happen and keep current with modern software architectures, frameworks and methodologies
• Work with the wider organisation and stakeholders to ensure the engineering team helps hit business goals
• Work with senior developers to ensure pragmatic and best-in-class development and devops solutions that are robust, reliable and efficient
• Work with security and compliance to align products with ISO 27001 and GDPR
• Be a key influencer and owner of the Engineering roadmap, working closely with the Director of Product and product managers
• Be curious and innovative and share creative and disruptive ideas
