National Account Manager for Target/Meijer Sweet Baked Snacks category
Own and manage strategic planning through internal and external cross functional collaboration
Deliver top-line sales and bottom-line profit targets through annual planning, execution, and comprehensive business management
Sales lead for the Sweet Baked Snacks strategic business unit to drive profitable sales growth
Financial acumen: manage sales deducts, customer profit, and value from volume/price/mix analysis
Negotiate using planning and communication best practices
Build long term business and leadership to elevate ideas
Cross functional collaboration and business management
Build/maintain relationships within key customers and internal constituents
Develop strategies to drive brand/category growth and achieve/exceed sales/profit goals
Own and lead negotiations for joint business planning activities and new items
Influence customers with fact-based presentations
Support and collaborate with Supply Chain to drive solutions and efficiencies
Leverage Omni Marketing to drive brand equity and KPIs
Manage everyday business execution: customer forms, item/deal setup, online content, logistics, inventory
Own annual business planning activities and perform in-depth analysis of sales and profit components
Work with point-of-sale data to manage and inform strategic/tactical plans
Manage internal sales systems impacting promotions, deductions, forecast
Effectively manage trade budget and visibility
Forecast monthly and quarterly sales for production planning
Ad-hoc financial and data analysis, including pre/post event analysis
Drive business process improvements via cross-functional partners
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
A minimum of 5 years of Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) sales/account management experience
Previous experience calling on National Account headquarters or Regional Account headquarters
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical skills in office applications (i.e Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficient in use of syndicated data sources (IRI/Nielsen)
Ability to travel up to 30% of work schedule
