About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Business Development Manager, Corporate & French Programs is responsible for driving revenue growth and client development within ILSC Education Group’s Corporate Training Department and French-language portfolio in Canada.
  • This includes the active development of new B2B relationships, management of key accounts, and full coordination of the TEF Canada examination program and ALLO, ILSC’s online French-language instruction platform.
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new corporate and institutional clients for ILSC’s English and French language training programs and French language testing
  • Build and manage a pipeline of B2B opportunities, including in-company language training, customized group programs, French language testing, and government funded training contracts
  • Conduct needs assessments, prepare proposals and service agreements, and close contracts with new and existing clients
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with HR managers, training coordinators, procurement teams, and other key decision-makers
  • Actively represent ILSC at business networking events, industry conferences, and sector-specific forums to grow brand visibility and generate leads
  • Collaborate with the Operations and the broader sales team to align business development strategies with organizational revenue targets
  • Provide regular pipeline updates, forecasts, and performance reports to leadership
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to grow exam registrations, targeting immigrants, professionals, and institutional partners (IRCC-accredited representatives, employers, post-secondary institutions)
  • Liaise with government agencies, settlement organizations, and immigration consultants to position ILSC as a preferred TEF testing centre
  • Recruit, train, and coordinate the scheduling of TEF examiners and invigilators
  • Identify areas of growing demand for TEF and establish new venues
  • Integrate TEF offerings into group and corporate sales opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records, exam documentation, and financial reporting for the TEF program
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the TEF Canada examination program at ILSC
  • Ensure compliance with all standards and protocols governing TEF administration.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain partnership agreements with Canadian and international colleges, universities, and CEGEPs to create formal pathways and referral pipelines for ILSC’s Corporate and French-language programs and testing
  • Negotiate articulation agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with post-secondary institutions that recognize or integrate ILSC French-language credentials, TEF scores, or ALLO coursework into their admissions or language requirements
  • Cultivate relationships with Francophone and bilingual institutions across Canada to expand awareness and uptake of ILSC’s French-language offerings.
  • Build relationships with international partner institutions to develop student referral and exchange opportunities linked to ILSC’s French programs
  • Work with settlement agencies, immigration organizations, and government-funded language training bodies to position ILSC as a preferred partner for French-language training and TEF preparation.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Full bilingual proficiency in English and French (written and spoken) is essential
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, ideally within education, language services, or a related sector
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders
  • Commercially minded with a results-oriented approach and the ability to manage a sales pipeline independently
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple programs and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with CRM tools or database systems
  • Knowledge of the Canadian immigration landscape and the role of language certification is a strong asset
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field
  • 3 years of experience in business development, account management, or program coordination
  • Experience in the language education, immigration services, or professional training sector is preferred
  • Familiarity with TEF Canada is a strong asset.
