About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage operational activities for the Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) department
- Oversee a range of matters with varying levels of complexity focused on operational execution
- Collaborate to improve LRC intake, prioritization, and service delivery framework
- Maintain LRC calendar, mail, and organize department meetings
- Research nonprofit regulatory requirements and assess operational impact
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of paralegal or legal compliance experience or similar
- Relevant bachelor’s, preferably in a nonprofit or corporate law environment; or 7 years of relevant experience; paralegal certificate a plus
- Basic knowledge of 501(c)(3) legal and regulatory laws and regulations
- Demonstrated experience supporting data and record management in legal settings
- Appreciation for and experience handling confidential, sensitive and attorney-client privileged communications
