About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform high-quality research on EV policies, supply chains and local-content rules, with a focus in Europe
- Collect data, and perform quantitative analyses of datasets on the future costs and demand in batteries and minerals, production capacities, and trade flows
- Author or co-author ICCT publications such as blogs, briefing papers, memos, working papers, and reports
- Review and summarize technical and scientific literature and review the work of colleagues and outside consultants
- Support presentations in public workshops and conferences, as well as regulatory working groups and policymaker briefings
Requirements
What you’ll need- B.A. (required), M.S., or Ph.D. (preferred) in engineering, economics, environmental sciences, or related field
- Relevant work or research experience is a plus
- Curiosity and basic understanding of battery technologies, material supply chains, industrial policies and global trade dynamics
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, research, and organizational skills, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and strong emotional intelligence
- Strong proficiency with data manipulation and analysis, using Excel, Python, R or similar tools; modelling and programming experience desired
- English fluency is required, both written and spoken.
