About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive incremental sales growth and profitability through account relationships, focusing on Complex Business Expansion and new business development
- Monitor key performance indicators for assigned professional customers and meet or exceed Sales and Margin performance plans with the Pro Sales Manager
- Leverage data, customer insights, and Pro customer satisfaction results to improve competitive position and drive capability adoption
- Participate in district/regional meetings as needed and communicate weekly activities with the Pro Sales Manager
- Represent The Home Depot Pro brand at local community events, drive new business, and grow Complex Business expansion
- Sell enterprise products and services, including Commercial Credit options, Volume Pricing Program, delivery, will call pickup, and website ordering
- Produce new account revenue in line with organizational targets/quotas
- Partner daily with the Inside Sales Support Representative to provide an end-to-end quoting, ordering, and transaction experience
- Establish partnerships with assigned customers through in-person sales appointments
- Develop strategies to expand the customer base within the defined sales territory
- Cultivate assigned customer portfolios and prospect for incremental sales growth
- Use Salesforce to plan sales calls, manage customer communications, and maintain the sales pipeline
- Conduct initial customer meetings, sell The Home Depot value proposition, and win opportunities to quote materials
- Prospect through internal Sales Development team leads, existing customer relationships, stores, and the community
- Report to the Pro Sales Manager; manage 0 direct reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
- Minimum education: high school diploma and/or GED
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
- Preferred: 5 years of professional work experience
- Preferred: 2 years of account management/sales management experience
- Preferred: 2+ years of home improvement or home building industry experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Successful professional growth in a high-paced retail environment
- Ability to create and cultivate an active network of relationships inside and outside the organization
- Ability to leverage relationships to accomplish sales and profitability goals
- Deep understanding of Pro customer needs, including product, credit, and performance requirements
- Ability to tailor communications and customer-facing activities to customer preferences
- Strong leadership and negotiation skills; ability to persuade or influence others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate globally
- No previous leadership experience required
- No certifications required
