Learning and Development Manager
The Hold - Home to Suffolk ArchivesLearning & Development Manager at Suffolk County Council leading workforce development programs for social work and occupational therapy. Collaborating with various stakeholders to design and evaluate training initiatives.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- co-lead our Social Work and Occupational Therapy Faculty
- collaborate with managers and practitioners across CYP and ASC to design, deliver, and evaluate a range of programmes supporting entry routes into these roles and the continuous professional development of our existing registered workforce
- lead the planning and implementation of learning strategies
- manage a team of learning consultants and coordinators to deliver a comprehensive workforce offer
- oversee the training and commissioning activity to ensure best value and high impact
- work closely with learning and development colleagues across the organisation to ensure joined up and streamlined approaches to learning.
Requirements
What you’ll need- is a skilled facilitator and is confident in leading workforce development discussions with practitioners and managers across all levels of the organisation
- has strong analytical skills to assess training needs and evaluate impact
- has excellent written communication skills for writing reports and creating learning programmes
- has a good understanding of current developments within social work and occupational therapy, including national practice standards and regulations
- is able to think on their feet and is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
