About the role
- Sell and ensure best in class merchandising, including building displays, packing out product, and replenishing permanent secondary displays
- Maintain salability of all authorized Hershey items and achieve 100% distribution in assigned territory
- Ensure flawless retail execution of Headquarter Sales and Merchandising Plans (Retail Execution Plan) with various retailers
- Achieve merchandising objectives through effective use of Permanent Secondary Displays and other display vehicles
- Report weekly activity, expenses, competitive activity, account changes, promotions and all administrative functions within assigned territory
- Report daily activities through the use of tablets, submitting upon completion of each day
- Responsible for managing sales territory visits and retailer relationships
- Participate in ensuring store appearance and merchandise displays align with plans, selling history and new receipts
- Consult with buyers, marketing and sellers on product positioning and presentation plans
- Create and coordinate visual presentation of merchandise, including store layout and displays
- Coach sales staff on merchandise to enable them to suggest appropriate merchandise to meet customer needs
- Part-time schedule: 6 hours per day, Monday to Thursday (24 hours/week)
Requirements
- 1-3 years of sales experience with sound knowledge of sales techniques in consumer packaged goods preferred
- Knowledge of and ability to develop and use strategies, practices, and tools for communicating with retail customers and for managing day-to-day operations of retail stores
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs
- Valid Driver’s license and good standing driving record
- Personal auto insurance with at least the government set minimum liability
- Must reside within the boundaries of the assigned territory
- Access to a personal vehicle (mileage rates will be paid)
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a team environment
- Detailed-oriented with fresh thinking
- Proficient in MS suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiar with iPad technology
- Willingness to be a part of a high performing team that works hard and has fun!
