About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own and operate core data platform components, with emphasis on Databricks and supporting Azure services
Build and maintain CI/CD and environment standardization using Azure DevOps and infrastructure-as-code
Implement observability and maintain operational runbooks
Execute platform releases and upgrades while minimizing disruptions
Enable MLOps capabilities in partnership with Data Science and engineering teams
Implement governance, security, and compliance standards through platform guardrails and clear documentation
Support FinOps by monitoring usage and identifying optimization opportunities
Monitor platform health, resolve incidents, and drive problem management
Define, track, and report operational KPIs and drive continuous improvement through automation and standardization
Provide operational support during standard business hours, with planned maintenance and documented processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

2–5 years in platform engineering roles
Hands-on administration and operations for Databricks and Azure data platform services
Strong understanding of environment provisioning, secrets management, identity/access, and networking patterns
Infrastructure-as-code experience (e.g., Terraform) is strongly preferred
Proficient in Python and SQL for automation and troubleshooting
Experience with CI/CD in Azure DevOps, managing releases, and improving deployment safety through testing and approvals
Familiarity with MLflow and operational patterns for model lifecycle management is a plus
Experience implementing monitoring/alerting and using operational metrics to drive reliability improvements
Effective communication of best practices and technical solutions across teams
