About the role
- Use consumer, shopper and market insights to build a robust innovation pipeline.
- Work cross-functionally to turn unmet needs and category opportunities into innovative products, services and business models.
- Ensure each innovation balances consumer desire, brand alignment and business impact.
- Lead the end-to-end innovation process for Brazil.
- Build and execute the short- and long-term innovation roadmap.
- Leverage consumer, shopper and market data to identify whitespace and category opportunities.
- Translate human and cultural insights into meaningful innovation concepts.
- Design innovation platforms to expand Hershey’s presence into new segments, categories and channels.
- Partner with R&D, Marketing, Finance, CMI and Supply Chain to ensure each project balances consumer needs, brand fit and business viability.
- Monitor competitors’ and category innovation activities, technology trends and startup ecosystems.
- Develop business cases for innovations, aligning with P&L, pricing strategies and channel plans.
Requirements
- Advanced English (required).
- Advanced Spanish (preferred).
- “Trend Hunter” profile — high curiosity, exploratory mindset and ability to identify emerging trends, opportunities and market movements.
- Proficiency with market intelligence databases and tools such as Nielsen, Kantar, Mintel and Euromonitor, with the ability to turn data into strategic, actionable insights.
- Data-driven mentality, using quantitative and qualitative information to guide analyses, decisions and prioritization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills — collaborative, integrative and consumer-driven when working with cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on approach, able to navigate between strategic and tactical activities within the innovation agenda.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Accolade or MS Project (preferred).
- Experience with Power BI, especially for analysis, data visualization and storytelling.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration or related fields.
- Previous experience in innovation, with a track record of developing and implementing projects that connect consumer insights, creativity and business impact.
- Product development experience; experience in the chocolate category is a plus.
