About the role
- Draft residential homes and interior layouts
- Create lighting plans for design projects
- Prepare presentations based on the designer's inspiration and design concepts
- Support the designer with drawings and design documentation
- Create and revise shop drawings for custom design elements
- Revise drawings and plans based on designer feedback and project updates
- Assist with 3D rendering tasks when applicable (experience preferred but not required)
- Perform other tasks related to the position
Requirements
- Proficient level of English (written and spoken)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent customer service approach
- Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)
- Experience working on architectural or interior design projects from concept through installation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Revit
- Experience with 3D Rendering is a plus
- Strong 3D modeling and drafting skills
- Experience creating professional design presentations
- Familiarity with Canva for visual presentations
- Experience with 3ds Max and Archicad is preferred
- Experience preparing architectural drawings, shop drawings, and lighting plans
- Ability to design and draft custom furniture pieces
- Strong knowledge of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) procurement, documentation, and coordination
- Experience with drafting, take-offs, and technical design documentation
- Experience coordinating with vendors and managing procurement processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain high design and documentation standards
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Out-of-the-box thinker, reliable, organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and confident approach
- Positive attitude and the ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Ability to understand and follow established processes with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in alignment with U.S. Eastern Time (New York time) business hours for at least four hours
- Interested in long-term career opportunities
- Reliable computer (Windows 10 or newer), two monitors, and stable high-speed internet
