Provide strategic and operational leadership for all Supplemental Health underwriting activities
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing underwriting organization
Establish and monitor key performance metrics
Partner in the development of budget, staffing, and compensation plans
Ensure a high standard of service that supports profitable growth and long-term customer retention
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to support product positioning
Evaluate market and competitive trends
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Actuarial, Sales, and Operations

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of total business experience
At least 5 years in supplemental health underwriting
Deep expertise in Supplemental Health products, including Accident, Hospital Indemnity, and Critical Illness
3+ years of successful people leadership experience
Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and the ability to operate both independently and collaboratively
Demonstrated strategic and critical thinking skills
Proven ability to build strong relationships and influence across matrixed organizations
Highly organized with a track record of driving initiatives to completion in fast-paced, complex environments
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional designation preferred
Proficiency in MS Office Suite required; experience with Tableau a plus
