About the role

  • Design and develop solutions that are scalable, highly available, fault tolerant and easily maintainable.
  • Develop data pipelines, extracting and transforming data, conducting analyses, developing insights, and delivering actionable recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Design and develop high quality, scalable data assets that support contemporary BI tools and advanced analytics.
  • Prototype high impact innovations, catering to changing business needs, by leveraging Cloud and Big Data technologies.
  • Deliver business solutions using state of the art technical frameworks, web and database technologies.
  • Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact project schedule and/or integrity of the application environment.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to design and implement solutions that align with the business needs and are consistent with the architectural vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of work experience in IT systems analysis and application program development
  • 4+ years ETL/ELT, Data Integration, Big Data experience building data pipelines and processing data through the data processing pipelines for variety of data sets
  • Hands on development with Python developments support complex business solutions
  • Experience designing and integrating quality data assets for optimal use in BI tools like Tableau
  • Expertise in building scalable distributed data processing solutions with Hadoop, HBase, Scoop, Hive
  • Developing data pipelines using Streams, Sqoop and MapReduce
  • Experience migration of legacy ETL solutions to Hadoop
  • Understanding of AWS core services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, Glue, IAM, KMS, SNS, SQS
  • Experience with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies, best practices and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Rally, Jira, etc
  • Experienced in Agile Scrum and Kanban Methodologies
  • Requires excellent business communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to work effectively with Business and IT management and staff.
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
