About the role
- Consult and/or collaborate with project team, training leadership, and business leaders on potential learning solution and performance support design and strategy.
- Propose learning solution / performance support design and strategy and revise based on feedback.
- Obtain approval signoff from appropriate resource(s).
- Gather or create necessary content.
- Partner with Content Curators to ensure performance support content is integrated into performance support tools.
- Create learning materials based on the agreed upon learning solution / performance support design and strategy.
- Utilize blended learning approaches potentially including, but not limited to, the following: competency skills inventories, activities, knowledge checks, case studies, claim simulations, self-directed learning, virtual and face-to-face instructor-led modules, Drills.
- Utilize appropriate eLearning tools as required to complete project work. Examples may include Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Drillster, video, audio, etc.
- Ensure all deliverables are consistent with design best practices and e-learning standards.
- Ensure learning materials are engaging, interactive & performance-based, as is appropriate for the target audience.
- Decide on the criteria used to measure learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments to assess skill and knowledge acquisition, and speed to proficiency
- Utilize a material review process to gather feedback and enhance materials based on legal, subject matter expert, business leaders, peer, and learning leader reviews.
- Obtain approval signoff from appropriate resource(s).
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a corporate learning organization
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field or equivalent business experience
- Excellent performance consulting skills.
- Excellent facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to relate to people who have a variety of learning and general professional styles.
- Excellent project management skills
- Excellent writing and editing skills, including spelling and proper grammar
- Strong attention to detail
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Strong project management skills
- Working understanding of adult learning theory
- Proficiency developing with the ADDIE design methodology (experience with AGILE methodology a plus)
- Effective relationship-building, collaboration, and consultation skills in a corporate environment
- Experience with e-learning software a plus
- Claims experience a plus.
