About the role

Build skills needed to participate in the entire software development lifecycle in support of information technology projects
Provide development support for The Hartford’s critical applications and assets
Utilize platforms (such Angular, React, Java and .NET) and cloud technologies to develop applications that support organizational goals
Utilize programming languages and software technology while applying disciplined software engineering practices
Develop or modify software application modules, using disciplined software engineering practices
Engage in work that is guided by more senior members of the team
Participate in immersive instructor-led training and multi-week learning experience to develop functional skills

Bachelor's degree – May 2026 graduates
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0 scale) at the time of graduation
Desired majors include, but are not limited to: Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Management Information Systems, Applied Mathematics
Desired candidates have prior programming experience in college and group settings
Provide evidence of knowledge and experience in programming languages like CSS, HTML, JavaScript, Java, SQL, .NET or Python
Interest in software development, working on an Agile engineering team, technology, and problem solving
Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organization skills
Ability to plan time and organize priorities, and pivot to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to self-learn new technologies
Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future
