About the role

  • Lead efforts to transform and migrate on-premise platforms to AWS and Big Data technologies
  • Design and develop solutions that are scalable, highly available, fault tolerant and easily maintainable
  • Design and develop data pipelines: extracting, transforming data, conducting analyses, developing insights, and delivering actionable recommendations to stakeholders
  • Design and develop high quality, scalable data assets that support BI tools and advanced analytics
  • Prototype high impact innovations by leveraging Cloud and Big Data technologies to meet changing business needs
  • Deliver business solutions using technical frameworks, web and database technologies
  • Orchestrate, automate, and maintain cloud adoption journey components
  • Proactively address technical issues and risks that could impact project schedule or application integrity
  • Work closely with stakeholders to design and implement solutions aligned with business needs and architectural vision

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Minimum of 4+ years of work experience in IT systems analysis and application program development
  • 4+ years ETL/ELT, Data Integration, Big Data experience building data pipelines and processes
  • Hands on development with Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot, ORM, JPA, Spring Batch
  • Experience designing and integrating quality data assets for BI tools like Tableau
  • Expertise in building scalable distributed data processing solutions with Hadoop, HBase, Sqoop, Hive, Streams, and MapReduce
  • Experience migration of legacy ETL solutions to Hadoop
  • Understanding of AWS core services such as S3, RDS, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, Glue, IAM, KMS, SNS, SQS
  • Experience with continuous integration and DevOps methodologies and tools such as Git, Jenkins, Nexus, Rally, Jira
  • Experienced in Agile Scrum and Kanban Methodologies
  • Excellent business communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills
  • Proven track record of engineering and operationalizing cloud and Big Data solutions
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship (company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement)
