System Administrator

• Support IT projects from inception to completion, including planning, preparation, coordination, and execution
• Travel to support on-site installation of network hardware, conduct testing, adjust configurations, produce heat maps, complete surveys, and update documentation
• Answer incoming customer support calls, triage and resolve issues, and record actions
• Troubleshoot associated hardware/software remotely and on-site
• Create, track, and resolve service desk action items
• Maintain the security and stability of the network solutions
• Actively participate in internal and external project meetings to review status and implement changes
• Produce detailed technical project documentation, meeting materials, analysis, graphics, benchmark information, and reports
• Create and maintain network documentation, hardware inventories, status reports, KPIs and metrics data
• Communicate with clients, senior management, and team members
• Participate in proposal response preparation and review cycles as needed
• Pro-actively identify and communicate system, schedule, and budget risks
• Other duties as assigned

Systems Administrator

Administration

• Provide Tier III/IV support of the VA EMCS environment for enterprise messaging and collaboration services
• Answer incoming Incident Priority calls from the VA Enterprise Service Desk (VA-ESD), triage and resolve incidents
• Resolve National EMCS Tier III/IV tickets and apply Exchange administrator skills to address enterprise-wide issues
• Administer Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Azure RMS
• Perform account AD domain moves, password resets, shared mailbox management, and PowerShell-driven administrative tasks
• Monitor and maintain network and EMCS infrastructure performance; report on system status
• Manage trouble tickets from creation to resolution and coordinate with service desk and stakeholders
• Troubleshoot email and collaboration issues for Executive level users and provide high-quality customer service
• Work as part of a team supporting approximately 300,000 VA customers across all 50 States and Puerto Rico
