About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Cover breaking and live economic and energy policy news from Ottawa
- Frequently pitch fresh, compelling story ideas

Requirements
What you’ll need- At least five years’ experience as a reporter in a daily news organization
- Solid news judgment with a track record of enterprise work
- Ability to translate economic policy into engaging prose for The Globe’s audience
- Familiarity with political reporting and economics
- Strong writing with versatile range - from hard news to human-interest feature to explanatory
- Comfortable working in a variety of formats, including live blogs, newsletters, video and audio
