Instructor

• Responsible for providing instruction and performing lab related activities for the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Refrigeration program
• Instruct college students and oversee laboratory activities in accordance with educational theories and techniques
• Maintain program standards in accordance with accreditation
• Spend approximately 80% of time teaching and 20% handling classroom administration
• Teach courses in accordance with published course descriptions, schedules, procedures, and course outlines furnished to students
• Design and prepare curriculum of course related materials
• Prepare and deliver online training content in support of classroom instruction
• Assess students’ proficiency, conduct ongoing evaluation, prepare grade reports of student progress, and maintain records of student course performance
• Develop and maintain various assessment instruments and supplemental educational materials
• Follow established safety practices
• Conduct basic maintenance on equipment within industrial trade program lab according to OSHA and related safety standards

• Responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management and oversight of assigned programs
• Coordinates and supervises with faculty and staff
• Accountable for fiscal management, administration and coordination of programs
• Develops long-range goals, objectives, priorities and recommendations
• Monitors various projects to ensure maximum effectiveness and compliance
• Acts as a College liaison for programs and services
• Advises students and faculty on departmental issues and requirements
• Assists in scheduling and administrative requirements
• Analyzes and interprets data on programs and performance
• Conducts needs assessments to identify skills and competencies

• Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities.
• Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.
• Teach SHRM SCP/CP and Essentials classes to college continuing education students.
