Partnering with your hiring manager, you: Design, build and maintain scalable infrastructure for ML models.
Collaborate closely with AI/ML teams to bring models reliably into production.
Manage model versioning, experiment tracking, and reproducibility.
Implement CI/CD for ML systems.
Ensure performance, reliability, and security of deployed models in critical environments.
Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for model performance.
Sometimes you support field operations by acquiring sensor data on site and validating the technology through controlled field trials.

Requirements

Due to security regulations for this role, you have to hold citizenship of an EU Member State.
Hold a German work permit and Tax ID.
Live in Germany and happy to support field operations around Berlin.
Willingness to travel 10%.
Minimum 4 years full-time work experience as a MLOps engineer or ML engineer with DevOps responsibilities.
Worked for at least two years for one and the same employer.
Proficiency in Python and with ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Solid experience with ML lifecycle tools (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow or similar).
Hands-on expertise with AWS and GCP.
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices.
Expert knowledge of CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code.
Fluent in English, any other spoken language is a plus.
Passion for IoT and defense.
Personality that thrives in a driven startup/scaleup environment.
Ideally worked with Golang.
Ideally experience with bash scripting.
Ideally understanding of Apache license obligations, including attribution, notice files, and compliant redistribution of builds and containers.
