• Lead comprehensive fundamental analysis across multiple power markets, demonstrating deep expertise in the short- and long-term drivers of price formation.
• Aggregate and maintain data from multiple sources; assimilate and analyze trends, scenario outcomes, hedging recommendations, trading ideas, and strategic opportunities while managing data for fundamental modeling.
• Develop and enhance fundamental models to forecast resource stack dynamics, reserve margins, and power prices.
• Use modeling to perform risk and scenario analysis and evaluate trading strategies.
• Collaborate closely with the Manager, Gas Fundamentals to align load forecasts and incorporate gas price scenarios into power modeling frameworks.
• Proactively monitor forward and historical pricing, congestion patterns, changes in resource stack, load, utility IRPs, equity earnings, and regulatory developments—integrating evolving market intelligence directly into models and fundamental views.
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to incorporate regulatory changes and RTO stakeholder process developments into modeling and analysis.
