Learning Experience Designer
The Disruptors DenLearning Experience Designer designing learner-centred experiences for educational programs. Collaborating with teams to create structured curricula and assess learner outcomes.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design engaging, learner-centred experiences aligned to outcomes and learner needs.
- Develop lessons, projects, assessments, and activities using sound instructional design principles.
- Apply design frameworks, templates, and accessibility standards for consistency and quality.
- Experiment with new tools and formats (e.g., AI, interactive media) to enhance learner impact.
- Support senior designers in developing curricula and learning experiences across multiple programs.
- Assist with preparing course deployment materials and conducting final quality assurance checks on LMS content.
- Work with subject matter experts to translate expertise into clear, structured learning content.
- Curate and adapt high-quality materials for online, blended, and experiential learning environments.
- Document and organise learning assets for reuse, scalability, and version control.
- Participate in content review sessions, applying ALX’s design frameworks and templates to ensure accuracy, clarity, and learner engagement.
- Identify and document areas of improvement within existing courses and propose practical enhancements.
- Help collect, clean, and organise learner feedback and analytics for use in iterative design cycles.
- Support experimentation with new authoring tools, AI-assisted design workflows, and interactive media formats.
- Learn and apply HTML/CSS for minor course edits or updates on learning platforms, under the guidance of senior designers.
- Use learner and stakeholder feedback to refine and improve learning experiences.
- Track learner outcomes and integrate insights into iterative design cycles.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of team design playbooks and standards.
- Actively seek mentorship and feedback from senior designers to improve instructional design and project management capabilities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or related fields.
- Practical exposure to online, blended, or technology-enabled learning.
- Exposure to user-centred design, education technology, or creative storytelling preferred.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design models and adult learning principles.
- Ability to craft clear, compelling content across different formats.
- Proficiency with instructional design tools and digital learning platforms.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating learning effectiveness and making data-driven improvements.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
- Creative problem-solving with an eye for detail and usability.
- Learner-first orientation with a passion for scalable, accessible education.
- Curiosity and openness to experimenting with new methods and technologies.
