About the role
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing operations team
- Serve as the primary escalation point for day-to-day operational issues
- Maintain strong communication and partnership with U.S. State Department officials
- Oversee CHAMP reporting and quarterly filing requirements
- Approve weekly timecards, manage staffing levels, and balance workloads
- Collaborate with the EVP on escalated issues and strategic initiatives
- Support DOS Tender annual filings and ITGBL semi-annual submissions
- Review and approve invoices and maintain financial accuracy
- Drive process improvements, training, and operational efficiency
- Participate in customer engagement and sales efforts, including 2 to 4 annual trips to Washington DC
- Perform additional leadership responsibilities that support overall division success
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or international moving
- Experience with GSA programs such as CHAMP required; ITGBL experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of international, customs regulations, import and export requirements, and documentation
- Proven skills in vendor and carrier negotiation
- Demonstrated leadership experience including hiring, coaching, performance management, and change leadership
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
