About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Make initial contact with prospective students seeking information about programs and the university
- Ensure prospective students meet established qualifications
- Transfer qualified prospective students to the appropriate Admissions Representatives
- Engage prospective students through outbound calls using established scripts and policies
- Respond quickly to new student inquiries and maintain consistent prospect communication
- Engage with prospective students through the web chat platform
- Maintain the Salesforce database through inquiry management, documentation, call and activity logging, and purposeful contact strategy
- Represent the university positively and professionally through telephone-based, virtual, and in-person meetings and events
- Maintain communication with admissions staff and other university departments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Ability to learn and work within admissions databases and CRM tools
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Experience in higher education preferred
- Proven ability to take initiative and problem solve preferred
- Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and matrixed environment to achieve outstanding results preferred
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills preferred
