Insurance Compliance Analyst – Mortgage Loans

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Lead portfolio monitoring and risk management processes for CPC’s sustainability portfolio
• Regularly interact with all parties to the transactions including but not limited to: originators/underwriters, program staff, program engineers, grantees/borrowers, contractors/installers, governmental partners, internal legal counsel, and other external partners
• Review/approve grant/loan packages submitted by originators, including the Basis of Design, Plans, Budget, Schedule and Contracts ensuring scope and all related construction documents comply with program requirements
• Review project advance requests, including review of engineer submitted Site Observation and Commissioning reports, ensuring compliance with requirements of funding source, CPC policies and procedures, as well as construction risk best practices
• Track and provide reporting on project budgets and the availability of funds during construction as it relates to the construction timeline and anticipated construction draws, ensuring that projects remain in balance. Review and approve, if applicable, paperwork required for ongoing project advances.
• Collect and coordinate all documentation on recently completed projects to facilitate return (“reassignment”) back to State or conversion to permanent financing.
• Attend project site visits as needed per program requirements
• Provide training seminars to internal and external clients on sustainability construction risk guidelines, procedures and policies
• Work to develop best practices and equipment type recommendations for various building type sustainability retrofits.
• Provide policy and technical expertise in support of current local and State sustainability guidelines and requirements, as well as to support the design of future decarbonization and energy efficiency programs.

AVP Construction Risk Manager – Sustainability, Affordable Housing Finance

Insurance

• Review and validate insurance requirements for permanent and construction loans to ensure compliance with lender guidelines and contractual obligation to support on time closings.
• Analyze borrower-provided insurance certificates, policies, binders, and endorsements for adequacy of coverage, limits, and proper naming; identify gaps and communicate corrective actions to borrowers and brokers.
• Verify mortgagee clauses, additional insured endorsements, and other required provisions.
• Consult with internal stakeholders to gather loan information and mitigate exposures.
• Assist in contract review and recommend insurance provisions to align with insurance risk management standards.
• Track and process departmental billings, payments, and insurance documentation throughout the loan lifecycle.
• Prepare insurance exception requests, loss summaries, and management reports.
• Conduct document retrieval, data management, and research to support portfolio-level activities.
• Deliver training sessions to educate staff on insurance policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks impacting insurance programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Senior Insurance Specialist – Mortgage Loans

• Lead the CPC Participations Desk by originating and structuring construction loan participations, sourcing and managing institutional participant relationships, positioning CPC’s construction loan platform, aligning investor criteria with eligible loans, and guiding participant diligence through credit approval.
• Partner closely with CPC’s construction loan origination teams to maintain real-time visibility into the pipeline, identify participation opportunities, and proactively match deals with appropriate capital partners.
• Own participation execution from approval through close, including term sheets, coordinating and negotiating legal documentation, managing closing and funding mechanics, and ensuring accurate system setup across CPC platforms in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Loan Servicing.
• Collaborate with the CS&I Team and CPC leadership to ensure CPC capitalization is optimal and capital is available.
• Monitor market conditions and gather internal and external data to develop and maintain financial models that inform capital structuring, pricing, and deployment decisions across CPC’s lending and investment platforms, ensuring CPC products and structures remain competitive and aligned with evolving market dynamics.
• Inform capital sourcing and evaluation efforts through relationship-building with capital providers and industry thought leaders and by conducting thorough qualitative and quantitative due diligence on prospective opportunities.
• Work with CPC’s businesses on various project-based initiatives while ensuring alignment with CPC’s corporate goals for capital allocation, revenue generation, and business growth.
• Support investor engagement and execution activities, including investor due diligence, development of fundraising and ongoing reporting materials, coordination of legal documentation and negotiations, and partnership with CPC business leads on strategic capital and balance-sheet initiatives.
• Prepare Capital Allocation and Investment Committee, and Board-level materials, as well as ad hoc strategic presentations for senior leadership.
