About the role

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, budget administration, and forecasting for University Housing and Dining (UHD)
  • Perform various activities as part of the monthly and year-end close-outs
  • Review and audit contract compliance and conduct financial presentations to various stakeholders
  • Review accounts and fund groups for propriety of entries and approval of vouchers
  • Assist in integration of UHD financial systems to Workday ERP system
  • Utilize COGNOS and/or Tableau analytics to create and modify reports and dashboards
  • Develop and prepare reports, monthly closing entries, financial analysis, and financial models
  • Assist in preparing data for feasibility and benchmark studies
  • Prepare presentations as needed
  • Perform impact analysis and maintain complex databases for comprehensive financial and technical analysis
  • Utilize Business Intelligence systems to monitor performance and financial benchmarks
  • Identify opportunities for expense management and research accuracy of expenses
  • Calculate and forecast changes in costs due to reformulation or service changes
  • Review costs and perform cost-benefit analysis for capital expenditure projects
  • Maintain procurement, inventory analysis, and supply chain data
  • Facilitate the annual budget development process and assist in the review of current UHD business processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
  • At least 6 years progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting with experience in planning, forecasting, cost and financial analysis
  • Use of personal computer and other standard office machines
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
