About the role
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, analysis, budget administration, and forecasting for University Housing and Dining (UHD)
- Perform various activities as part of the monthly and year-end close-outs
- Review and audit contract compliance and conduct financial presentations to various stakeholders
- Review accounts and fund groups for propriety of entries and approval of vouchers
- Assist in integration of UHD financial systems to Workday ERP system
- Utilize COGNOS and/or Tableau analytics to create and modify reports and dashboards
- Develop and prepare reports, monthly closing entries, financial analysis, and financial models
- Assist in preparing data for feasibility and benchmark studies
- Prepare presentations as needed
- Perform impact analysis and maintain complex databases for comprehensive financial and technical analysis
- Utilize Business Intelligence systems to monitor performance and financial benchmarks
- Identify opportunities for expense management and research accuracy of expenses
- Calculate and forecast changes in costs due to reformulation or service changes
- Review costs and perform cost-benefit analysis for capital expenditure projects
- Maintain procurement, inventory analysis, and supply chain data
- Facilitate the annual budget development process and assist in the review of current UHD business processes
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- At least 6 years progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting with experience in planning, forecasting, cost and financial analysis
- Use of personal computer and other standard office machines
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
