About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive growth and achieve sales goals for College Board programs and services within an assigned territory
  • Lead the execution of state, regional, and national sales strategies
  • Proactively identify opportunities, advance conversations, and close opportunities that expand access to College Board programs
  • Build and leverage strong relationships with key decision-makers at schools, districts, and education service centers
  • Conduct initial discovery meetings with district decision-makers to introduce College Board programs
  • Track all prospecting and sales activities in College Board’s CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Provide regular updates on progress toward goals, challenges, and key learnings to the sales leadership team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in education or a related field
  • Direct experience in assessment, curriculum, student achievement, or program implementation initiatives highly desired
  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills and the proven ability to move forward multiple projects in concert
  • A willingness and ability to think creatively, and proactively seek , take and use feedback to improve processes
  • A willingness to take initiative and be a self-starter
  • Achievement orientation, with evidence of setting and attaining goals
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence others to action and a relationship-building approach that’s motivated by a strong, user-centric orientation
  • Strong familiarity with Salesforce or other similar CRM systems (preferred)
  • A willingness and ability to travel as needed for in-person meetings and onsite work, up to 10%- 20%.
