About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Secure third-party copyright permissions primarily for all AP assessment products across all courses
  • Work closely with AP Permissions staff, course teams, and product managers on assessment production efforts
  • Build and execute a copyright plan that balances the needs and priorities of various stakeholders
  • Partner with AP course teams and product managers to ensure copyright tracking for all current projects is up-to-date
  • Report on progress, at regular intervals, in writing and via scheduled meetings
  • Make informed, independent judgment calls on permissions and content issues; escalate issues when needed
  • Drive process development and improvement for current permissions management practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years' experience with copyright permissions and/or licensing
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Understanding of copyright including public domain and fair use, and the process of requesting permission from rightsholders
  • A detail-driven, process-oriented mindset
  • Expertise in Smartsheet, MS Excel and item bank management
  • Ability to process and distill large volumes of data and draw insightful conclusions to drive decision-making
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills; demonstrated ability to establish positive working relationships at all levels of the organization
  • The ability to travel 4-6 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business
  • Are eligible to work in the USA for any employer
