About the role

  • Leads technical aspects in the evaluation and implementation of new products and packages working with market development teams and the bottlers.
  • Develops the Business Plan objectives together and assures the timely execution of the technical supporting activities.
  • Collaboratives work with business unit technical team in the execution of innovative technologies, processes, innovative packaging to introduce sparkling and stills products in the market and provides technical operations support in the implementation of promotions and line extensions.
  • Assures continuity of supply of our current packages and brands, reviewing sales trends versus bottler and supplier’s current production capacities and capabilities; ensures timely infrastructure availability and plans execution, working with bottlers technical teams to sustain business growth regarding manufacturing and logistics.
  • Assures raw materials and packages supply to support sales growth, ensures supply continuity across end-to-end supply chain and, acts as enabler for system alignment to drive results.
  • Drives productivity initiatives across the system (bottlers, suppliers, FU), identifies opportunities in the system to lower our products supply chain cost and influences in the implementation of practices to improve the affordability of our products.
  • Supports package and product quality, co-leads to minimize the risk to the company and the brand, assuring the compliance of the technical policies in our bottler system, and influences the bottler to make the appropriate investment and improve the human capabilities of their personnel in their operations.
  • Supports the accomplishment of Quality, Environmental, Safety standards by verifying performance and including timely reviews of plans, programs, and corrective actions.
  • Leads the review of new product market performance and puts in place a plan to address any technical product issues and deliver business requirements.
  • Supports the development of project management skills within the team, organization and facilitates to ensure the sharing of best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Science, Physics, or related field is required
  • 4 + years of experience in manufacturing engineering, in the field of product, packaging for a fast-moving consumer goods company and demonstrate record of achievement in improving packaging and operations through Lean principles.
  • Experience in Packaging R&D (Research & Development) programs from concept to commercialization.
  • Demonstrate experience in project management, PMP (Project Management Professional) training or certification would be a plus
  • Must have experience from product concept to launch , using a defined NPD (New Product Development) or change management process
  • Equipment specification, evaluation, and installation experience.
  • Must be self-motivated and team oriented, safety and quality minded, organized and detail oriented, effective oral and written communication skills and an ability to work with multiple discipline projects.
