About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct legal research and translate findings into practical recommendations supporting business and compliance decisions
  • Review, draft, and revise contracts, agreements, and legal documents
  • Support policy and procedure development for compliance, governance, and operational effectiveness
  • Analyze legal and regulatory developments and evaluate potential organizational impacts
  • Partner with attorneys and business stakeholders on process improvement, problem-solving, and strategic projects

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of at least one year of law school prior to the internship start date
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Juris Doctor (J.D.) program and in good academic standing
  • Strong legal research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and professionally
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and evaluate issues within a broader business context
  • Collaborative work style, intellectual curiosity, and a growth mindset
  • Ability to use technology and AI-enabled tools responsibly to enhance productivity, research, and analysis
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher (preferred)
  • Interest in healthcare law, compliance, privacy, regulatory affairs, or corporate law (preferred)
  • Prior internship, externship, research assistant, or other legal-related experience (preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel or legal research platforms (preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, or involvement in student, professional, or community organizations (preferred)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require current or future employment sponsorship
