About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a consistent clinical point of contact for each member throughout their wellness journey
- Assess immediate risk and clinical needs using evidence-based models and clinical acumen
- Provide real-time crisis de-escalation, safety planning, and risk management
- Identify biopsychosocial needs and determine solutions and next steps with members
- Develop SMART goals and support members through stages of change
- Guide members to appropriate clinical care, treatment programs, and community resources
- Educate members about benefit plans, coverage, and care navigation
- Leverage specialized evidence-based curriculum across clinical areas
- Research and provide tailored educational or support resources
- Partner with internal colleagues for follow-up, case collaboration, and seamless care transitions
- Balance real-time queue work with out-of-queue case management responsibilities
- Maintain diplomacy, empathy, professionalism, HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, and sound clinical documentation
- Manage multiple health records and systems to document customer interactions and progress
- Communicate effectively in verbal and written formats
- Perform other related duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree or PhD in a mental health field, or RN with psychiatric specialization
- Current independent clinical license, such as LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LPCC, PhD, PsyD, PMHNP, or psychiatric RN
- Minimum 5 years of post-licensure behavioral health or substance use clinical experience preferred
- Demonstrated use of evidence-based approaches, including brief therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing
- Experience working in or with managed care environments preferred
- Experience with direct member communication; telephonic counseling/coaching experience preferred
- Required to obtain AAS Crisis Specialist Certification within the first year of employment
- EAP experience and CEAP certification preferred but not required
- Strong clinical acumen and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfort working in a dynamic, rapid-paced environment
- Proven administrative abilities and strong computer/software application skills
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week with rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Home internet through cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
