About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist patients in receiving medications for rare and/or chronic diseases
Engage patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and multiple departments to process orders
Ensure timely shipment of medications
Accurately enter prescriptions into the computer system
Evaluate prescriptions under insurance coverage and ensure correct dispensing
Research issues with pharmacists and doctors’ offices
Provide patients with guidance about medication coverage
Handle multiple requests while documenting information in the computer system
Track utilization and inventory and provide standardized summaries and reports
Assist pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels
Obtain new prescriptions and refill information from customers

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of six months related experience
Valid Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration as required by state laws
Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
Microsoft Office proficiency
Data entry skills
RxHome experience is a plus
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload when working from home
