About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist patients in receiving medications for rare and/or chronic diseases
  • Engage patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and multiple departments to process orders
  • Ensure timely shipment of medications
  • Accurately enter prescriptions into the computer system
  • Evaluate prescriptions under insurance coverage and ensure correct dispensing
  • Research issues with pharmacists and doctors’ offices
  • Provide patients with guidance about medication coverage
  • Handle multiple requests while documenting information in the computer system
  • Track utilization and inventory and provide standardized summaries and reports
  • Assist pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels
  • Obtain new prescriptions and refill information from customers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of six months related experience
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration as required by state laws
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Data entry skills
  • RxHome experience is a plus
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, and multiplication
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload when working from home
