About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive, document, and process verbal prescriptions, clarifications, provider updates, and required prescription details in pharmacy systems
  • Verify orders for accuracy, flag missing or conflicting information, and escalate clinical questions or concerns to pharmacists
  • Manage inbound calls from patients, providers, healthcare professionals, and caregivers while providing prescription status, coverage details, and next steps
  • Update, reconcile, and maintain patient demographics, insurance, health information, and interaction records in accordance with HIPAA and company standards
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, insurers, fulfillment, operations, and internal teams to resolve prescription, claims, coverage, and shipment issues
  • Assist patients in receiving life-sustaining medications for rare and/or chronic diseases
  • Enter data in computer systems and communicate by phone

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Active Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license
  • National pharmacy technician certification
  • Must reside within Tennessee
  • 1+ year(s) of customer service experience
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and data entry accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Training availability: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. CST
  • Post-training schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. CST
  • Home internet through cable broadband or fiber optic service with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload
