About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive Strategic Regulatory Guidance
- Translate federal and state regulatory, legislative, and policy developments into clear business recommendations that support commercial market priorities.
- Advise leaders on regulatory impacts, emerging trends, and market opportunities to support informed decision making and long-term growth.
- Help align regulatory requirements with business strategy, affordability goals, product priorities, and client needs.
- Influence Business and Market Strategy
- Lead regulatory impact assessments, market evaluations, and competitive analyses that inform product positioning, client strategies, and growth opportunities.
- Partner with sales, account management, product, clinical, operations, legal, compliance, and government affairs teams to develop practical, compliant solutions.
- Support client retention, expansion opportunities, RFP strategies, and finalist presentations by providing commercial regulatory expertise.
- Enable Enterprise Readiness and Innovation
- Represent commercial regulatory perspectives in solution development, strategic initiatives, and market readiness efforts.
- Develop executive-ready presentations, issue briefs, and client-facing materials that simplify complex topics and drive action.
- Balance multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in commercial health plan strategy, pharmacy benefit management, healthcare consulting, regulatory strategy, public policy, compliance, legal, or a related client-facing healthcare role.
- Strong understanding of commercial healthcare markets, employer-sponsored health coverage, pharmacy benefit management, and state and federal regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to analyze complex regulatory and market information and translate findings into actionable business guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive-level and client-facing materials.
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across a matrixed organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Pharmacy, or a related field is preferred.
- Advanced degree in a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience supporting commercial employer-sponsored healthcare clients is preferred.
- Experience presenting strategic recommendations to senior leaders or external clients is preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare affordability strategies, compliance considerations, and market trends affecting pharmacy benefit management is preferred.
