About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help manage outsourced payroll operations for a large U.S. employee population, including escalated cases, payroll inputs, and vendor follow-up
- Partner with payroll, HR Operations, Legal, Treasury, Finance, workers’ compensation, and third-party vendors to resolve issues and keep processes moving
- Coordinate overpayment recovery activities, including vendor referrals, invoice reconciliation, case records, credit card collections, and escalations
- Support SOX and external audits by reviewing control performance, preparing reports, and helping maintain clear, reliable documentation
- Validate, review, balance, and submit payroll inputs for processing, including CDGT/EIB files and related payroll transactions
- Process and reconcile third-party sick pay, wage requests, expatriate payroll activity, payroll bank items, ACH approvals, NOC/return transactions, and general ledger reconciliations
- Maintain payroll policies, procedures, and employee-facing intranet content so information is accurate, useful, and easy to follow
- Contribute to year-end/year-begin activities, mergers and acquisitions, center of excellence initiatives, and continuous improvement projects that improve compliance, efficiency, and employee experience
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2+ years of payroll administration, payroll processing, HR operations, finance, accounting, or related experience
- Experience working with outsourced payroll or vendor-supported HR operations
- Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort working with sensitive payroll data
- Ability to research issues, take initiative, and communicate clearly with internal partners and external vendors
- Proficiency with Microsoft desktop applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Associate’s degree in business, human resources, finance, accounting, or a related field (preferred)
- Workday experience (preferred)
- Experience supporting audits, SOX controls, payroll reconciliations, or process improvement work (preferred)
- Exposure to year-end payroll activities, mergers and acquisitions, expatriate payroll, or general ledger reconciliations (preferred)
