About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen strategic relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers, GPO participants, and key internal stakeholders.
  • Lead and support supplier contract negotiations to secure favorable pricing, terms, and value for Econdisc participants.
  • Monitor generic pharmaceutical market trends, product availability, and competitive developments to identify opportunities and risks affecting participants.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for participant communications, including product updates, recalls, supplier changes, shortage notifications, and risk-related events.
  • Educate participants on market conditions and contract opportunities while addressing concerns and facilitating resolution of supplier or wholesaler issues.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Procurement, Operations, Risk Mitigation, and Contracting teams to support business objectives.
  • Manage contract negotiations, implementation activities, contract tracking, participant communications, and ongoing account management activities.
  • Prepare and facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), strategic business discussions, and participant performance reviews.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, negotiations, action items, and strategic initiatives.
  • Represent Econdisc at industry conferences, supplier meetings, and participant events.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in account management, supplier management, contracting, pharmaceutical operations, or a related field
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
