About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end accountability for the pharmacy application suite, with a focus on stable, secure, and reliable production operations.
- Set the scheduling systems strategy for the pharmacy technology application suite, balancing operational excellence, modernization, and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and cloud capabilities, to improve platform resiliency, scalability, and supportability.
- Serve as a senior technical advisor to business partners, product owners, and IT leaders, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards and operational best practices.
- Lead root cause analysis, remediation planning, and preventive actions for post-production incidents.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing software engineering team of 8–15 professionals, fostering ownership, accountability, and growth.
- Partner with Product Owners to evaluate, prioritize, and plan customer and user requests based on business value, quality, and budget.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to cross-functional IT programs that strengthen the team and the platform.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, application support, production systems, or a related technology field.
- 3+ years of experience leading technical, software engineering, or application support teams.
- Experience diagnosing, resolving, and preventing complex production issues in enterprise environments.
- Strong background in root cause analysis, incident management, change management, release coordination, and production governance.
- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in high-pressure or outage scenarios.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule to support critical initiatives and production needs.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
- Hands-on or historical experience with AI technologies, cloud technology such as AWS or OpenShift, Microsoft C#.NET, C++, Angular, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, fulfillment, pharmacy, or high-volume operational systems.
