About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Validating, coding, processing, and entering invoices to proper budgets
Comparing vendor invoices to system-generated purchase orders
Processing validated invoices for payments through various methods
Works with the Supply Chain department to correct discrepancies
Processing purchase orders and payment requests in Peoplesoft
Requesting new vendor setup in Peoplesoft
Researching vendor inquiries regarding invoice payments
Reviewing vendor statements for past due balances and outstanding credits
Processing payments to external Home Health Nursing Agency claims
Processing intercompany payments with other UPMC entities
Independently resolving department inquiries with clients

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma required
5+ years AP/AR experience
Proficiency in Accounting Software packages and MS Office, Excel, and Word preferred
Experience with PeopleSoft Financials a plus
Strong organization, communication, and customer service skills necessary
Professionalism, ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a team environment required
Ability to work 20 HOURS PER WEEK (flexible on days)
