About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the development and execution of Evernorth Specialty Pharma strategy
  • Build and maintain key strategic relationships in support of Evernorth Specialty portfolio
  • Oversite of contract development and execution of account strategy
  • Retention and achieving business unit strategic goals
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure growth and profitability
  • Work with Senior Director and Directors of Business Development on strategies for new therapy access
  • Guide company on strategic decisions with significant impact on planning
  • Develop and execute account strategies resulting in revenue growth
  • Negotiate and manage details, timelines, and renewals of client contracts
  • Anticipate business challenges and recommend improvements
  • Solve unique and complex problems with broader impact
  • Manage budget for Account Management and Business Development teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (prefer MBA or PharmD)
  • 10-14 years relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree, 8-12 years with Master’s
  • Strong project management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of financials with ability to assess product and program metrics
  • Negotiation and leadership skills
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Experience leading client meetings
  • Experience leading teams with direct reports
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating and managing contracts with integrity
  • Knowledge of the Specialty Healthcare, Pharma and PBM industry preferred
