Senior Pharmacy Technician
The Cigna GroupPharmacy Technician Senior Representative at Cigna assisting with specialty prescription processing. Ensuring accurate information is obtained from prescribers while providing excellent customer service.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contact doctors and/or patients regarding need for complete and accurate information for prescription processing.
- Complete data entry of prescriptions after reviewing for completeness and accuracy.
- Work with pharmacists per work instructions, policy and procedures, management direction or any national or state regulations.
- Complete training on Risk Evaluation and Mitigations Strategies (REMS) program requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and assist with questions/issues for team members in coordination with supervisor.
- May assist with training of newly hired pharmacy technicians.
- Additional duties as assigned, may be cross trained to support other functional areas.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED required.
- Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license in good standing required.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, experience in a specialty pharmacy setting preferred.
- Basic working knowledge of email, Word, and general computing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Ability to learn internal systems, processes and programs as needed.
- Problem solving and basic math skills.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Strong time management skills.
