About the role

  • Design, develop, and unit test software applications that align with engineering standards and quality expectations.
  • Drive process improvements across the Provider and Core Technology Solutions & Engineering organization, partnering closely with Operations and Technology Product Management.
  • Promote proactive quality engineering practices with a focus on preventing defects rather than detecting them later.
  • Strengthen user story maturity using data and feedback to improve completeness, clarity, and acceptance criteria.
  • Build and evolve heat-mapping tools that help prioritize Quality and Development Engineering effort for the most impactful system interfaces.
  • Partner with engineers and technical leaders to guide the use of best practices, industry standards, and automation strategies.
  • Mentor and coach team members to build capability, confidence, and technical depth across the organization.
  • Lead the advancement of automation suites, harnesses, and tooling to increase reliability and repeatability.
  • Use empirical data to refine engineering plans, enhance design decisions, and improve how work is defined and delivered.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software automation testing and quality engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience working in Agile environments.
  • Proven expertise with automation tools and frameworks including Selenium, Cucumber, Java, Cypress, and Robot Framework (Python).
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases.
  • Experience using GitHub or other version control tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities with a positive, growth-oriented mindset.
