About the role
- Deliver strong collections outcomes by managing an assigned book of business and meeting or exceeding performance goals.
- Build a consistent, efficient operation by designing clear workflows, performance standards, and quality measures.
- Develop and support a skilled team through thoughtful hiring, onboarding, coaching, and ongoing development.
- Ensure productivity, compliance, and accuracy by monitoring results, auditing performance, and addressing gaps early.
- Improve processes by identifying issues, evaluating options, and implementing practical solutions.
- Maintain clear, respectful communication with internal partners, payers, and vendors to resolve issues and reduce delays.
- Keep policies and procedures current so the team has clear guidance and confidence in their work.
- Manage multiple priorities and short deadlines while staying organized and focused on outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare billing, collections, or patient business services
- At least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
- Working knowledge of Medicare billing rules and third-party payer requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and guide teams
- Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make decisions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfort working with performance metrics
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field
- Experience supporting specialty pharmacy, infusion, or hospital-based revenue cycle operations
- Familiarity with systems such as CPR+, HCN, or CareTend.
- Experience partnering across departments to drive operational improvements.
