About the role
- Lead the IFP Operations Compliance team, including daily leadership, 1:1 meetings, formal check-ins, goals/objectives, Career Development Plans, training and onboarding
- Ensure the quality of the IFP operational processes are fully compliant with State and Federal requirements
- Participate with the New Law Implementation process, Business Implementation for new regulations, iComply regulations review and assessment, State & Federal mandate reviews and impacts, and IFP Regulatory Portfolio funding request intake, risk assessments and prioritization
- Partner to support other Cigna IFP team members in development of guidelines and best practices
- Lead change by influencing and educating Business and IT partners
- Crosstrain employees in best practices through knowledge share sessions
- Train employees on processes, documentation requirements and tools to improve consistency, reduce complexity and ensure capacity needs and deliverables are supported
- Ensure proper documentation and communication venues are created to support the standardization of process and procedures within team, including training, education and knowledge share
- Manage on-boarding, partner knowledge share, educational material development and maintenance and team SME development
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure compliant solutions and deliverables
- Manage resource and capacity planning
- Manage own assignments in addition to staff assignments
- Partner in metrics reporting
- Work closely with the Business partners to ensure continuous improvement: Participate in business strategy and planning activity
- Assist in defining project plans, dependencies, risk mitigation, and project status reports for complex or cross-functional processes
- Participate in knowledge share development and execution
- Provide insight into solutioning and best practices for process/procedure standardization
- Support development and implementation of training and education tools
- Provide and/or coordinate instructor-led training – self or partner coordination
- Provide timely and technically appropriate written communication to stakeholders when necessary
- Provide alternative solutions as necessary to assist in problem resolution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 10+ years of risk and compliance experience
- Expertise in the Cigna Healthcare organization, business processes and workflows to facilitate execution of initiatives
- Familiarity with Cigna Healthcare products and benefits
- Understanding of Cigna Healthcare systems and data repositories
- Previous employee management experience, including strong people leadership skill sets
- Proven ability to motivate employees and provide tools for success, both individually and as a team
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding and rapidly changing environment
- Ability to lead, manage and influence teams in a heavily matrixed environment
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results with strong sense of urgency
- Detail oriented, with proven prioritization, time management and organization skills (including the ability to engage in multiple tasks and meet deadlines/standards)
