About the role
- You’ll own and present a high-impact project aligned with business needs
- Past projects have included: Forecasting the financial impact of market trends and cost drivers on health plan pricing
- Performing “actual-to-expected” analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of new medical policies
- Developing models to predict claim variations and improve reserve accuracy
- Designing tools to optimize pricing strategies and accelerate speed-to-market
- Participate in training sessions, case studies, community-building events, and intern-exclusive programming
Requirements
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or related major
- 3.2 minimum GPA
- Outstanding technical skills: Excel proficiency preferred, coding experience in Python, R, SQL a plus
- Analytical skills: Ability to think critically, problem solve, and drive business impact
- Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong demonstrated ability to lead paired with initiative and curiosity
- Commitment to professional development and learning the business of healthcare
