About the role
- Design, build, and maintain robust backend APIs using AWS and Databricks to support generative AI applications.
- Integrate generative AI components into traditional applications, enhancing their capabilities to perform automated document comparisons, data extraction, summarization, and analysis.
- Interface with Actuarial Pricing, Underwriting, and Guarantee Management teams to understand business requirements and deliver AI-powered solutions that meet their needs.
- Develop applications to streamline knowledge management functions across various business areas.
- Provide technical guidance and best practices in API development, cloud computing, and generative AI integration.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for APIs and AI integration processes.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience (6+ years) in backend API development with a strong focus on AWS and Databricks platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of cloud computing, API design, and backend development methodologies.
- Proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, Java, or similar.
- Strong experience with AWS services like Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, and others relevant to API development.
- Experience with Databricks for data processing, analysis, and integrating with AI models.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
