About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist music managers at the Church Office Building in the development and implementation of music training resources.
- Coordinate and assist in the creation, development, and publishing of music training resources, including piano instruction.
- Provide administrative organization of committee and volunteer processes.
- Assist with music training-related events.
- Review and edit physical and electronic sheet music, audio recordings, and other assets.
- Adapt to the demands of the work as needed, may support administrative needs of management and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Music or a related discipline with 4 or more years of professional experience in music-related fields.
- Sound understanding of Church organization, doctrine, policy, and practice.
- General computing skills (including facility with Word, Outlook, Excel, and Acrobat).
- The ability to communicate well and present an image of professionalism.
- The ability to lead and coordinate the work of others.
- The ability to give careful attention to detail and sustain concentration for long periods of time.
- Organizational skills, with the ability to manage many projects simultaneously.
- Preference will be given to applicants with one or more of these specialized skills:
- - Intermediate to advanced piano skills
- - Background in piano instruction/pedagogy and instructional design
- - Working knowledge of music theory principles
- - Project management experience
- - Ability to work within agile computer solutions and platforms, including AI tools, agents, and vibe-coding environments, AirTable, presentation software (e.g. PowerPoint), video editing software and solutions, instructional technology experience.
