About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides advanced-level training to local unit leaders, and clerks on record-keeping principles and local unit operating procedures.
  • Under the direction of the Area Membership and Statistical Records Manager, monitors Church-established local unit record-keeping processes and ensures they are completed according to defined metrics and objectives.
  • Assists with finance and membership audits and resolution processes.
  • Prepares and presents Area-specific statistical analysis and other reports.
  • Helps resolve escalated local unit issues and troubleshoot Church record-keeping application problems.
  • Assists the Area Presidency and local leaders in preparing unit organisation applications.
  • Looks for opportunities to refine local unit record-keeping processes.
  • Initiates and participates in business solutions or process improvement projects related to local unit needs.
  • Performs and coordinates the performance of internal control reviews.
  • Administers and controls large operational databases.
  • Acts as a project manager or team member for technical projects impacting the entire department, dealing with complex finance and record-keeping issues.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Area Membership and Statistical Records Manager.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of professional work experience in business, accounting, finance, or other related field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to train priesthood leaders
  • Solid understanding of basic software applications.
  • Excellent computer application troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and presentation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including fluency in Portuguese and the ability to communicate in English
