About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist with the design and production of print and digital communication materials.
Support designers and art directors with project research, concept development, and design execution.
Prepare production-ready files and design assets for review and publication.
Create and update layouts, graphics, illustrations, and other visual communication materials.
Help maintain consistency with Church design standards, branding, and style guidelines.
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into project deliverables.
Organize and maintain project files and digital assets.
Collaborate with designers, project managers, editors, and other stakeholders.
Other assignments and projects as directed.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently seeking a bachelor's or master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Illustration, Interaction Design, or a related field, or have obtained such a degree within the past 12 months.
Demonstrated design ability through a portfolio of academic, freelance, personal, or professional work.
Working knowledge of design principles including typography, layout, color, and visual hierarchy.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Ability to receive feedback and apply it constructively.
Experience designing for both print and digital media (Preferred).
Familiarity with production processes and file preparation (Preferred).
Experience working collaboratively on creative projects (Preferred).
Knowledge of motion graphics, illustration, photography, or UI/UX design is a plus (Preferred).
